What can you do?

Don’t ignore your website and social media analytics. They are valuable tools and you’ll need to use them to tailor your marketing campaigns. They are also useful when you are trying to make adjustments to your website design and you want to make sure everything remains user friendly.

Instead, rely on other means to find out who is talking and what they are saying. Google yourself and look through the first results. Read comments on blog posts and reviews. Claim and read your profiles on various review sites. Search Twitter for hashtags related to your business.

What you find can give you a good indication of your online reputation. If you notice a problem, reach out to the people and offer to rectify the situation. Keep it calm, cool, and professional, or you could make the problem worse.

Do not hesitate to call on a professional ORM team to help you. They have tools and expertise that you as a regular consumer will not be able to use to manage your reputation on your own.
